School Supply Drive Update

With the new school year just beginning, many children in Western New York will be adjusting to their new way of learning. This year, with the help of many local business we were able to hand out over 200 fully stocked backpacks to children in our Programs, Services and Corps communities.

Three weeks ago, Ashley and her three children entered The Salvation Army’s Emergency Family Shelter. This week, they are moving into to their NEW apartment! Her three sons, ages 12, 9 and 6, all begin the new school year next week. Despite virtual public schooling this September, they still needed a variety of school supplies.

Because of the School Supply Collection, Ashley was able to receive 3 fully stocked backpacks for her boys to start off the new school year! The emotional, material and financial support she received through The Salvation Army has made a difficult time so much easier.

Thank you to all the businesses and organizations that contributed school supplies and backpacks for this year’s School Supply Collection. With your help, we were able to Do The Most Good for children in our community.
