The Coronavirus Pandemic has hit the Western New York Community hard. Over the past year, we have been serving those in the community who are struggling with necessities like food, as well as families who are navigating more stressful situations, like Erik.

Erik, a single dad with two daughters, is a victim of fraud. Throughout the pandemic, he has not received any stimulus checks, tax returns, child, and spousal support. He is physically disabled and with no income since he moved out of our Emergency Family Shelter. With the help of our Pathway of Hope Caseworker, he was able to obtain an ID, social security card and birth certificates for himself and his children as well as the essential documents he needed for suitable housing.

Our Pathway of Hope Caseworker was able to connect him with an apartment as well as professional income tax help. The children were linked to the Big Brother Big Sister program and are greatly benefitting from having a mentor. The Salvation Army was also able to provide Erik’s family with food, furniture, and personal care items.

Thank you, Chur Companies NY, Inc, for your support of our 2021 Red Kettle Open Golf Tournament.  Because of your generosity, we can continue to help families like Erik’s as they navigate difficult times.

Our 2021 Red Kettle Open Golf Tournament is Monday, June 7 at Transit Valley Country Club. 11 a.m. Registration and lunch with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. Sponsorships and foursomes are still available!
