The Coronavirus Pandemic has caused tremendous strain on individuals and families around the world. But throughout the last year and a half, we have seen glimmers of hope and positivity shine through the darkness.

From community members donating meals for healthcare workers serving on the front lines, to providing toys for children to open on Christmas morning, the Buffalo Community is truly the City of Good Neighbors. The Salvation Army strives to Do The Most Good for those in need and it’s an incredible feeling when people in our community help us achieve our goal.

“We were down to our last 2 gallons of milk at The Salvation Army Emergency Shelter. I went to Walgreens to get 10 gallons of milk and while I was waiting in line, the person in front of me said “Wow – that’s a lot of milk!” I answered “Yes, it is! I’m getting this because we ran out at the Emergency Shelter I work at.”

The person replied, “Please let me buy the milk for you.” Hearing our conversation, the two customers behind me also wanted to help and all 3 people paid for the 10 gallons of milk we need at the Shelter. I was overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for their kindness.”

To the 3 customers at Walgreens who donated gallons of milk for the families in our Emergency Shelter, THANK YOU for your generosity.

Thank you for helping us Do The Most Good.
