The COVID-19 Pandemic has made a huge impact on families living in the Western New York Community. This past holiday season, The Salvation Army Buffalo Area Services Rescued Christmas for those in Buffalo who faced poverty, hunger and job loss.

With the help of our amazing community partners, like M&T Bank, we were able to Do The Most Good for our neighbors in need by providing over 1,100 families with toys for their children to open on Christmas Morning.

“It’s our pleasure to support The Salvation Army’s Virtual Toy Drive to help those in need during the holiday season. We value making a difference in the community and hope we can provide many families joy this year,” said Lynn Waclawek, M&T Employee Experience Program Manager.

As we begin the New Year, M&T Bank has continued to support the mission of The Salvation Army Buffalo Area services by hosting a Gift of Warmth Drive. M&T Bank branches and offices around Buffalo are collecting Gift of Warmth items like hats, gloves and scarves for The Salvation Army to distribute to the community.

“Gift of Warmth items like hats and gloves are so needed especially during January and February as they are typically the coldest months of the year.” Says Major Annette, Director of Operations for Erie County. “With the help of companies like M&T Bank, we are able to give these items out and provide warmth to those in need in our community. With their help, we are able to Do The Most Good.”

If you or your place of business is interested in hosting a Gift of Warmth collection, please contact our Events and Volunteer Coordinator at 716-888-6220 or email bryanna.gwitt@use.salvationarmy.org.

Thank you, M&T Bank!
